Heyrick Bond-Gunning: Chief Executive Officer
Heyrick is a security business specialist with knowledge of all aspects of industry best practice and changing trends. He has recently been consulting on behalf of Kroll, advising clients on reducing the risk to their assets. Heyrick's experience covers Premiership Football Clubs, Qualifications Curriculum Authority, National Assessment Agency and the National Convention Centre in Dublin.
Prior to joining Akona, Heyrick facilitated companies in the Middle East, advising them on risk management and business continuity. He has worked within the financial services industry, where he was involved in the set up of Mergers & Acquisitions information dot com. Heyrick's service and experiences in the British Army, as an officer with the Grenadier Guards, has influenced him to publish his book: 'Baghdad Business School'.
Steve Ashley: Director of Operations
Steve is a specialist trainer with secondary knowledge in counter terrorist responses and actions. He served over 25 years in the British Army with Special Forces counter terrorism in Northern Ireland and Balkan's where he completed his career as a Regimental Sergeant Major Grenadier Guards.
Since leaving the Armed forces, Steve has been involved in directing safety and security training for some of UK's highest profile sporting and cultural events; which including Premier League Football Clubs, International Cricket and Concerts.
