Akona is in partnership with Waltham Forest council helping them to deliver the ‘Worknet’ programme – a programme designed to help residents of the council to enter and develop by working through a number of training programmes in the local area. Akona organised an open day were candidates were invited to find out about the wide range of training courses and potential careers available to them.
Working closely with the Jobcentre Plus and Registered Social Landlords, Akona has successfully trained 146 candidates in a package of courses including, Door Supervision, CCTV, AUSSE, NVQ Level 2 Stewarding and First Aid.
