Akona a British security training company, has successfully delivered the first trained event stewards in Brazil for SC Corinthians trained stewards.

Following the successful delivery of edexcel's internationally acclaimed Level 2 event stewarding qualification, the AUSSE, in the UK, Akona have delivered the training in Brazil. '

It culminated in a presentation evening in February, at the British Consulate in Brazil where the successful candidates were awarded their certificates by the British Consul' said the Akona Managing Director Steve Ashley.

He added 'Akona is now in the process of setting up a training Centre of Excellence in Brazil with SC Corinthians to provide a lasting legacy of sustainable training and professional development for candidates beyond the 2014 FIFA World Cup and 2016 Olympic Games.'
